Planning your cleaning

Smurfettes provides services across Australia. Tell us the service address, the cleaning you need and your preferred timing so the work and appointment arrangements can be confirmed.

Request a written cleaning quote

Include the address or postcode, type of home, rooms and tasks you would like help with, preferred frequency and timing, and the person we should contact. If the enquiry involves a funding program, let us know which one and who is authorised to discuss it.

Request a written cleaning quote or call 1800 328 982.

Check any funding arrangements

For NDIS cleaning, the proposed household tasks need to relate to the participant’s disability, fit their plan and be allowed under current NDIS rules. A page, quote or invoice does not confirm that funding can be used. If anything is unclear, the participant, nominee, plan manager, support coordinator or other authorised funding contact should help resolve the question before booking.

NDIA-managed funding requires a registered provider. For plan-managed or self-managed funding, confirm the provider requirements for the support being arranged. Keep the funding decision separate from the agreed cleaning tasks and price.

DVA and aged-care arrangements have their own requirements. Check the current documents with the appropriate authorised contact and keep a record of what was confirmed and when. If funding has not been confirmed, you can ask about a private-pay quote without treating that payment choice as already agreed.

Plan access and protect your privacy

Tell us about parking, entry arrangements, stairs or lifts, communication preferences, who will be present and who can provide access. Share only the details needed to plan the cleaning. A medical history or unrelated personal information is not needed to describe an ordinary household task.

Be clear about the work and household responsibilities

Describe the rooms, surfaces and ordinary cleaning tasks you want included. Flag repairs, maintenance, pest treatment, mould remediation, biohazard work, restoration, heavy lifting or other specialist concerns separately. Do not assume a general cleaning quote includes them; clarify the appropriate work before accepting the quote.

In shared or supported accommodation, distinguish the participant’s agreed cleaning from other residents’ belongings, staff-only spaces, and the responsibilities of the housing provider or property manager. Agree who may approve a change. If instructions conflict, pause the affected task and clarify them with the authorised person.

Review the quote before booking

Your written quote should make the included tasks, exclusions, optional extras, price, access arrangements and authorised change contact clear. Confirm the correct service address, any relevant funding arrangements and the minimum invoicing details needed.

• Check that the proposed tasks and priorities match your request.
• Resolve questions about exclusions or specialist work before accepting.
• Distinguish your preferred visit time from the appointment that is actually agreed. An enquiry does not reserve a date or allocate a cleaner.
• Confirm changes to the tasks, address or funding arrangements in writing, and keep the accepted quote, later changes and invoice together.

A quote describes the agreed work; it does not guarantee a particular cleaning outcome. Discuss any result you are seeking and the relevant limitations before booking.

Guidance for supported homes and referrals

Read cleaning information for homes with SIL supports to help separate cleaning from support and housing responsibilities. Our guide for support coordinators and plan managers explains referral and funding-contact considerations. NDIS registered cleaning information explains when provider registration matters. These guides do not confirm a provider’s registration or an individual funding decision.
