You might focus on the bathroom and toilet, everyday kitchen surfaces, and vacuuming or mopping regularly used floors. List the rooms and tasks to include, as well as areas to leave private.

If someone helps manage bookings, explain their role and your preferred contact method. Tell us who can approve changes while keeping you involved in the cleaning routine.

Arrange access to your home

For a unit, give its number and the building entrance. Mention visitor parking, an intercom, a lift or stairs, and who will meet the cleaner if needed. Include pets and areas that should stay closed.

Cleaning requires safe access to the agreed rooms and excludes moving heavy furniture or entering unsafe areas.

Additional tasks and separate services

Dishes, laundry, folding and linen changes can be included when agreed in writing with sufficient time. Specialist mould or biohazard treatment, repairs and personal care are excluded.

If you also need move-out cleaning, agree its tasks and a separate quote from your household-cleaning arrangement. You or your authorised funding contact must confirm the funding position for that work; funding is not automatic.
