Spring cleaning

Planning a seasonal clean? Tell us which rooms and indoor tasks you would like quoted, such as wiping safely reachable surfaces or cleaning agreed kitchen and bathroom surfaces. A seasonal label alone does not make work NDIS-funded. Funding depends on the participant’s plan, disability-related needs and current NDIS support rules. General preference, property maintenance and work that belongs to another party may be outside that scope.

Vacate cleaning

For vacate or end-of-tenancy cleaning, agree the tasks and a separate quote from your household-cleaning arrangement. The NDIS excludes exit cleaning that is a direct cost of meeting a tenancy agreement. If you also need routine disability-related household cleaning around a move, describe those tasks separately and ask your authorised funding contact to check them against your plan before booking. Include the handover date, requested areas, property condition and agent or tenancy instructions in that quote. Cleaning cannot determine a bond refund or inspection result.

Laundry assistance

For help with laundry, tell us the approximate number of loads, the washing and drying facilities, care instructions and where finished items should go. In a shared home, identify whose clothing or linen is included. Dry-cleaning, alterations, repairs and textile restoration need a separate service.

What to include when you contact us

• Confirm the exact service address and preferred timing.
• List the priority rooms, domestic tasks and anything that should not be touched.
• Share access or communication instructions needed for the visit.
• Provide the authorised invoicing contact and explain how the participant’s plan is managed if NDIS funding may be used.

Using your NDIS funding

Keep funding eligibility and provider choice as separate checks. Plan funds can only be used for NDIS supports that relate to the participant’s disability and are in line with the plan. NDIA-managed funding requires a registered provider. Self-managed or plan-managed participants can usually choose a registered or unregistered provider, subject to plan and support-specific restrictions, while the plan manager itself must be registered. Smurfettes Service Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider for Household Tasks. Registration does not decide whether an individual support is payable, and the agreed household tasks still need a written quote and invoice.

Your written quote should confirm the address, agreed tasks and priorities, visit length or frequency, price, exclusions, access instructions, cancellation terms and invoicing contact. Check it before accepting, including who can approve the work and any responsibilities shared with other people or services. Funding and address availability must be confirmed separately.
