Central Highlands

For household cleaning in the Central Highlands, tell us which indoor rooms need help and whether you want recurring or occasional visits. The written quote can set out agreed kitchen and bathroom surfaces, floors and safely reachable dusting, with priorities and excluded tasks. Include the full home address and any access arrangements. Review the agreed scope and wait for written confirmation of the visit time before planning around a booking.

West Coast Tasmania

For household cleaning on Tasmania’s West Coast, start with the rooms and tasks you want quoted. Name the kitchen and bathroom surfaces, suitable floors and safely reachable areas needing attention, and put the most important work first. Include the full home address, requested frequency and access arrangements so the written quote fits the home. Tasks, price and visit timing are agreed before a booking is confirmed.

This directory’s household-cleaning guidance also covers Macquarie Heads, Southwest, Strathgordon and Wellington Park. For a written quote, identify the home or service address and the indoor rooms needing attention.

The agreed scope may include vacuuming suitable indoor floors, mopping, safely reachable dusting and standard kitchen or bathroom surfaces. Put the essential rooms first, list anything that should be left alone and identify who can approve the work. The household, funding and booking guidance below applies to these enquiries.

Include practical access details and preferred timing, but keep keys and entry codes out of the first message. Review the written tasks, exclusions, price and appointment details before accepting. An enquiry does not confirm funding or a booking.

Household cleaning

For regular or occasional household cleaning, tell us which rooms and domestic tasks you want included. In a shared home, identify your rooms, belongings and agreed shared areas, including who can approve the work. Keep tasks already covered by another resident or support service separate.

Related Tasmania information

Deep cleaning

For a more detailed clean, describe the rooms, buildup or condition, your priorities and any access limits. Mould assessment or remediation, pest treatment, repairs, hazardous contamination and work beyond safe reach need a separate specialist assessment.

National NDIS guides and related information

Spring cleaning

Use a spring-cleaning link to translate a broad seasonal request into one defined set of rooms and observable tasks. Separate disability-related household assistance from general preference, maintenance or work another party is responsible for. The label “spring clean” does not establish that plan funds may be used.

One-off cleaning

Need help for a single visit? Tell us which tasks matter most, your preferred timing and any time or budget limit. The written quote should make clear what is included, what is excluded and how lower-priority tasks will be handled if the agreed limit is reached.

Vacate cleaning

Vacate and end-of-tenancy work needs a separate quote from ordinary household cleaning. Provide the handover date, property condition, requested areas and tenancy instructions for that quote, and separate any specialist or property-manager responsibility. The NDIS excludes exit cleaning that is a direct cost of meeting a tenancy agreement. If you also need routine disability-related household cleaning around a move, describe those tasks separately and ask your authorised funding contact to check them against your plan before booking. A cleaning quote does not determine a bond or inspection decision.

Regular cleaning visits

Regular visits may be weekly, fortnightly or at another agreed frequency after the tasks and time needed are discussed. Your written quote sets out the included work, price, timing, exclusions, access instructions and invoicing contact. Any changes are agreed before a later visit.

Laundry assistance

For laundry help, tell us the approximate loads, washing and drying facilities, care instructions and where finished items should go. In a shared home, identify whose clothing or linen is included and who can approve the work. Dry-cleaning, alterations, repairs and textile restoration need a separate specialist service.

Using your NDIS funding

NDIS household cleaning may be funded when the support is disability-related and fits the participant’s approved plan. A request for cleaning does not confirm funding. The participant or authorised funding contact should confirm the proposed support and how the plan is managed before service starts.

Keep two decisions separate: whether the task qualifies as an NDIS support for this participant, and which provider the funding arrangement permits. The first turns on the disability connection, current funding criteria and the participant’s plan. An NDIA-managed support must be obtained from a registered provider. With self-management or plan management, the participant can generally choose between registered and unregistered providers unless the plan or a support-specific rule restricts that choice; an organisation acting as plan manager must itself be registered. Smurfettes Service Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider for Household Tasks. Registration does not determine whether a particular task is payable from a participant’s plan, approve an enquiry or confirm a booking.

Your written quote should confirm the address, agreed tasks and priorities, visit length or frequency, price, exclusions, access instructions, cancellation terms and invoicing contact. Check it before accepting, including who can approve the work and any responsibilities shared with other people or services. Funding and visit timing are confirmed separately before a booking.

How your NDIS plan is managed

  • Self-managed: the participant or nominee confirms the service fits the plan, arranges the quote and receives the invoice.
  • Plan-managed: provide the plan manager’s billing details and confirm the proposed support before booking.
  • NDIA-managed: registered-provider and agency booking requirements apply. Registration does not confirm that an individual support is payable.

Cleaning in shared homes

The written scope should identify the participant’s rooms, any agreed shared areas and the domestic tasks related to the participant’s needs. It should not shift ordinary work belonging to other residents, a housing provider or another support service onto the participant’s funding.

What to include in an enquiry

  • Confirm the exact service address and preferred timing.
  • List the priority rooms, domestic tasks and anything that should not be touched.
  • Share access or communication instructions needed for the visit.
  • Provide the authorised invoicing contact and explain how the participant’s plan is managed if NDIS funding may be used.

Share only the details you or the participant have authorised; full plans, medical records and account credentials are not needed for an initial enquiry. An enquiry or quote does not confirm NDIS funding or a booking.

Frequently asked questions

Does the NDIS automatically pay for household cleaning?

No. The proposed disability-related household support must fit the participant’s plan and management arrangement.

Do you provide NDIS household cleaning across Tasmania?

Yes. Contact our team to discuss the cleaning you need and agree a suitable appointment time.

Can the task list change?

Yes. Discuss the change with the team and update the written scope before a later visit.

Is vacate cleaning an NDIS Household Tasks support?

Exit cleaning that is a direct cost of meeting a tenancy agreement is excluded from NDIS funding. Routine disability-related household cleaning around a move is a separate question for your authorised funding contact to check against your plan. Ask for a separate quote before booking.

Find information about plan management, referrals and cleaning in shared or supported homes. These national guides explain the wider arrangements; your own plan and requested work still need to be discussed.
