Need household cleaning in Rockdale? Tell Smurfettes your exact address, the rooms and tasks you want help with, and any access or product preferences. We can discuss what is practical and provide a written quote. You can then check the work, price and timing before deciding to book.

Tell us what you want cleaned

List each room and task, the finish you want, anything to leave alone, and whether you want a single visit or recurring cleaning. Include access details and your preferred way to communicate. If an instruction or permission is unclear, ask for it to be confirmed before that task is included.

Know who can confirm each detail

  • You or your authorised contact: Confirm household instructions and preferences, such as a private bedroom that must not be entered.
  • Smurfettes: Confirm the proposed cleaning method, assumptions, availability and price. For example, a quote may cover only a clear floor area.
  • Your authorised funding contact: Check the plan, funding-management and record requirements for a proposed NDIS-funded task. An NDIA-managed arrangement has its own provider steps.
  • Unanswered questions: Clarify who may approve an extra task, a different product or a price change before the affected work begins.

A housemate, support worker or property manager may give useful access information without having authority to approve tasks, payment or funding. Keep those decisions separate.

Choose the cleaning service you need

Routine cleaning can include agreed repeat tasks such as vacuuming, mopping and wiping clear surfaces. List deeper or spring-cleaning tasks separately, and describe one-off work as a single defined job. For laundry, say whether you need washing, drying, folding or putting items away; one stage does not include every stage. No service type automatically includes another. Confirm the tasks and price for each before booking.

Discuss practical limits and access

Tell us if you prefer a particular visit time, written communication, task order or product. We must confirm whether the request can be met. A preferred finish does not guarantee restoration, stain removal, hygiene or another particular outcome. Discuss surface, product and safety limits before accepting the quote.

Share the entry method, parking or building instructions, stairs or lift, pets and on-day contact that matter for the visit. In a shared home, distinguish common areas from private rooms and who may approve entry. A diagnosis, full plan and unrelated support history are not automatically required for a cleaning quote. Ask why a personal detail is needed before sharing it.

Check NDIS funding before agreeing to a funded task

Household cleaning is not automatically payable from an NDIS plan. A proposed funded task must be an NDIS support for the participant, relate to their disability support needs, fit the plan and available budget, and follow current NDIS rules. A request, quote, booking or invoice does not decide eligibility. Keep ordinary household expenses, repairs and work for other residents separate from the participant’s proposed NDIS-funded cleaning.

The NDIS excludes exit cleaning that is a direct cost of meeting a tenancy agreement. If you also need routine disability-related household cleaning around a move, describe those tasks separately and ask your authorised funding contact to check them against your plan before booking. Request a separate quote and payment arrangement for tenancy work, and describe and price any private-pay work separately.

For self-managed funding, check the current self-management rules, whether the support and price are suitable, and the records you need. For plan-managed funding, ask the plan manager about its quote and invoice process. NDIA-managed funding requires a registered provider; Smurfettes Service Pty Ltd is registered for Household Tasks. Confirm the current provider and my-provider steps for your plan, and keep a note of who confirmed any request-specific payment process. Registration does not approve an individual task for NDIS funding.

Approve the quote and any changes

Check that the quote names the Rockdale address, separate tasks, service type, date or frequency, exclusions, access assumptions, rate or price basis, tax, validity period and invoice details. Ask us to explain an assumption or unanswered question before accepting. The participant or authorised contact should approve the work and any proposed product, task order, duration or frequency; a proposed time or bundled price alone is not consent.

If a surface condition, blocked area, unavailable product, safety concern or extra request changes the work, pause the affected task. Ask the authorised contact to approve the revised task and any price effect in writing before it proceeds. Other independent tasks may continue only when safe and unaffected. Being present at the home does not itself give someone authority to change the quote.

Check the work and invoice

Compare completed tasks and approved changes with the accepted quote. Check the participant or purchaser, business, service date and address, task descriptions, quantities or time, rates, tax, total and payment details on the invoice. Check that any proposed NDIS-funded amount matches the authorised funding arrangement. Ask about unfinished work or a new or unexplained charge before approving payment.
