Household cleaning and separate scopes
Routine indoor tasks may include vacuuming named floors, mopping suitable areas, wiping reachable surfaces and cleaning specified kitchen or bathroom fixtures. A deeper one-off clean needs a separate task list and quote. Repairs, pest treatment, mould investigation or remediation, hazardous contamination, clinical work, restoration, unrestricted waste removal, heavy-item movement and work beyond safe reach are not ordinary household cleaning.
For an apartment, shared home or complex, distinguish the participant’s private space from requested indoor shared areas and building common property. State who controls each area and who is authorised to approve the work. A resident cannot automatically approve work for a housemate, landlord, agent, body corporate or building manager.
NDIS payment and private cleaning
NDIS funding depends on the participant’s plan, disability support needs and current rules. Confirm the support and available budget with the participant or authorised funding contact. Smurfettes Service Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider for Household Tasks. Registration does not decide whether an individual request can be funded. For NDIA-managed funding, the provider delivering the support must be registered for the relevant support. A plan manager must also be a registered NDIS provider. Participants using self-managed or plan-managed funding can generally choose a registered or unregistered provider, subject to the plan and any support-specific registration requirement. Confirm the arrangement and invoice details with the participant or authorised funding contact. For self-managed funding, participants or nominees manage payment records. For plan-managed funding, the plan manager processes eligible invoices.
Vacate or end-of-tenancy cleaning is a separate private-pay service, not NDIS Household Tasks. A quote cannot guarantee a bond return or inspection result. Ask for separate scope and price lines for private extras.
