NDIS Room-by-Room Cleaning Checklist

Start the room checklist or use the NDIS cleaning scope worksheet for a complete enquiry outline.

This NDIS room-by-room cleaning checklist is a task inventory, not a promise that every item will fit one visit. Print it or copy the relevant sections, mark only the indoor rooms to be assessed and rank essential work. Funding, provider capacity, exact timing and assessment-only requests must be confirmed separately.

1. Set the checklist boundary

Service address to provide privately: ______________________________________________

Participant or authorised contact: _________________________________________________

Rooms included: _______________________________________________________________

Rooms that must not be entered: __________________________________________________

Use E for essential, I for important, O for optional and X for do not touch. The task-list guide explains how to choose that order.

2. Bathroom and ensuite

Priority order and room-specific instruction: _________________________________________

Surface, product or do-not-touch note: ______________________________________________

3. Separate toilet

Priority and special instruction: ___________________________________________________

Do not add maintenance, plumbing repair or property-damage work to the cleaning instruction.

4. Kitchen

Areas to leave clear or untouched: _________________________________________________

Dishes, food preparation, organising cupboards and moving belongings are not part of this indoor cleaning inventory. Appliance or cupboard interiors require separate assessment and written acceptance.

5. Bedrooms

Bedroom included: 1 / 2 / 3 / another agreed room: _________________________________

Private items, mobility equipment or papers not to move: _______________________________

Complete a separate line for each included bedroom. Do not assume that another resident’s bedroom is part of the participant’s request.

6. Living and dining areas

Furniture or equipment that must not be moved: ______________________________________

Participant-approved movement instruction, if any: ___________________________________

7. Indoor hallways and entry area

Stairs, thresholds, lifts or mobility notes: ___________________________________________

Exterior paths, yards, gardens and building maintenance are outside this indoor checklist.

8. Additional indoor room

Room name: __________________________________________________________________

Essential task: _________________________________________________________________

Important task: _________________________________________________________________

Optional task: __________________________________________________________________

Do-not-touch instruction: _________________________________________________________

Add only a room that the provider has been asked to assess. A blank line does not expand the accepted scope.

9. Flag assessment-only work

Marked work remains a question until the provider accepts it in writing. This checklist excludes gardening, exterior work, repairs, handyman tasks, personal care, transport, meal preparation, dishes, organising, decluttering, packing, moving items, clinical cleaning, mould remediation, biohazard work and pest treatment.

10. Separate shared-household work

Participant’s private rooms: _______________________________________________________

Agreed common rooms: __________________________________________________________

Participant-related work requested in common rooms: _________________________________

Another resident’s private work excluded: __________________________________________

A shared address does not turn the participant’s request into an unbounded whole-house service.

11. Create the final priority line

  1. Essential room and task: __________________________________________________
  2. Essential room and task: __________________________________________________
  3. Essential room and task: __________________________________________________
  4. Important work after essentials: ____________________________________________
  5. Optional work only if agreed capacity remains: _________________________________

Ask the provider to quote this order. If the list is larger than the proposed visit, decide which items move to another visit rather than leaving the choice unstated.

12. Attach the inventory to a complete enquiry

Add the exact address, preferred days, frequency options, access arrangement, pets, product sensitivities, authorised contact and billing pathway using the NDIS cleaning scope worksheet. Then copy the necessary details into the quote request template.

Do not place portal passwords, bank details, reusable access codes or unrelated medical information on a room checklist.

Check the official context

The NDIA says funding may only be used for NDIS supports related to disability and in line with the participant’s plan. Core supports can include everyday tasks such as cleaning depending on the individual plan. Read the current pages on NDIS supports, Core supports and service agreements. These sources were reviewed on 4 September 2026.

Send the selected rooms for assessment

Email the exact address, marked rooms, priority order, assessment questions, access notes and timing choices to info@smurfettescleaningservice.net. Smurfettes can assess task fit, timing and current cleaner capacity before providing a written response. The checklist does not confirm a booking or NDIS funding.

For the wider scope, read the national NDIS indoor cleaning information.
