A lot of Leederville housing sits close together, and in a home that shares a wall or a boundary with the next one, a cleaning visit is not a private event. Sound carries, bins are shared, and the space outside your front door often belongs to everybody. None of that is difficult, but it does need thinking about rather than discovering.

It costs us nothing and it is the difference between a service that is invisible to your neighbours and one that is not.
If you would rather we did not run a vacuum at all on a particular day, say so. There is more that can be done with a mop, a damp cloth and a carpet sweeper than people expect.
In close-built housing, a good deal of what a cleaner might normally do outside the back door is on shared ground. Bins may live in a communal store rather than on your verge. A courtyard may be yours to use but not yours to alter. A path to the street may be shared with two other homes.
So we ask rather than assume. Which bin is yours, where it goes and on which night. Whether the courtyard is in scope. Whether anything can be left outside a door, even briefly, or whether that is a fire-exit path that must stay clear. Those are quick answers and they prevent a complaint that lands on you rather than on us.
Parking near a small inner suburb address is often restricted, timed, permit-only or simply full. That affects the visit in a practical way: how much equipment can reasonably be carried, and how much of the booked time is spent walking rather than cleaning.
Tell us what actually exists at your address, including whether there is a bay you are entitled to and whether it is genuinely usable. If there is nothing, we will plan for it and factor the walk in rather than run late and rush the end of the job.
A compact home takes less time to clean, which sounds like good news and usually means the visit is short. A short visit does not stretch. So it is worth deciding in advance what the visit is actually for: floors and wet areas, or surfaces and kitchen, or laundry and the bathroom.
We would rather do three things properly in an hour than seven things at a level nobody is happy with, and we will say so at the quote rather than agree to a list that does not fit.
Fortnightly is the usual arrangement and suits most small homes well. Weekly can be genuinely affordable here, because a compact home does not take long, and in a small space the difference between weekly and monthly is very visible. Monthly works where you manage the day-to-day yourself.
Deep cleans reach what a routine visit does not: inside the oven, rangehood filters, tracks, skirtings, door frames and behind what can safely be moved. Vacate cleans matter here because a lot of this housing is rented, and an outgoing inspection looks hardest at ovens, tracks and glass.
Whether a plan can pay for any of these depends on that participant’s approved supports. None of them is automatically funded.
Washing, hanging or drying, folding, putting away and changing the bed can be part of a visit. In a home without much outdoor space, drying is often indoors on a rack, which is worth planning around rather than discovering when a full load has nowhere to go.
Cleaning is not included in every NDIS plan. Where it is funded, assistance with household tasks has been approved as a support connected to that participant’s disability, based on their goals, their assessed needs and the supports already in the plan.

Where you share the home with others, funded cleaning relates to your own disability-related support needs rather than the household’s general housework. In a small shared home that line is worth writing down precisely, which we do in the quote.
Self-managed participants arrange it with us directly and we invoice you. Plan-managed participants give us their plan manager’s details and the invoice goes there. NDIA-managed participants need a registered provider, which we are, so the claim runs through the agency.
We go through it with you at the property or over the phone: the rooms, the shared walls and shared ground, bins, parking, how we get in and anything that should not be touched. You get a written quote before any work starts, and availability for your address is confirmed at that point rather than promised in advance.
