What we actually do is set by you. For most people it is the kitchen, the bathroom and toilet, floors and surfaces through the living areas and bedrooms, beds and linen, and the laundry. If there are jobs you would rather keep doing yourself, we leave them.
Laundry is included rather than being a separate service you have to organise. Washing, drying or hanging out, folding, putting away, and changing linen and making beds can all be part of the visit. For a lot of people that is the part of the week that quietly gets away from them, so it is worth saying if it applies to you.
Household cleaning is usually considered under Core Supports as Assistance with Daily Life. Whether it is funded in your case depends on your disability, your circumstances and what your plan says. Nobody should tell you the NDIS simply pays for cleaning. We are happy to explain how it is normally treated so you can check it against your own plan before anything is arranged.
Every cleaner holds a National Police Clearance and an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. Smurfettes is fully insured. We supply equipment and non-toxic products, and we aim to send the same cleaner each time.
