Karrakatta is a small locality with only a modest number of homes in it, and that has one very practical consequence for a cleaning service: getting to the right door takes more care here than it does in a large residential suburb. This page is mostly about arrival, because arrival is where most first visits go wrong and it is entirely preventable.
Not the way a map application describes it, and not the way it is spoken about locally. Streets here run across locality boundaries, so a street name alone can lead to the wrong suburb entirely, and a mapping app will confidently take a cleaner to the other end of it.
What we want at the quote is the full address including the unit or lot number if there is one, the locality as it appears on your mail, and any detail that would stop a stranger driving past it. A house with no visible number, a shared driveway serving several addresses, or an entrance on a different street from the postal address are all worth thirty seconds of explanation.
Plenty of homes have a front door nobody uses. If everyone comes to the side or the rear, say so, otherwise a cleaner will stand at the door you never open and you will not hear them.
The same applies to gates, keypads, screen doors that stick, and dogs that need to be somewhere else when a gate opens. None of it is complicated and all of it is quicker to say once than to work out on the day.
This is worth agreeing before it happens rather than after.
If you are someone who may not hear a knock, or who needs longer to get to the door, say so at the quote. We will build the extra time into the arrival rather than treating it as a no-show.
A small suburb sometimes makes people assume a service will not cover it, or will charge more for it. Neither is automatically true. What we will do is confirm availability for your specific address when we quote, rather than promise a start date before we have checked. A visit here usually sits within a run through the surrounding suburbs, which is exactly how a fortnightly slot stays reliable.
Fortnightly is the usual arrangement. Weekly suits households where the gap between visits is where things fall apart. Monthly is enough where the everyday jobs are handled and only the heavier work is left.
A fixed day and a consistent arrival window are worth asking for, particularly if getting to the door takes you time.
Deep cleans reach what a routine visit does not: inside the oven, rangehood filters, tracks, skirtings, door frames and behind what can safely be moved. One-off cleans suit a recovery period, and vacate cleans are for the end of a tenancy.
Whether a plan can pay for any of them depends on that participant’s approved supports. None of them is automatically funded.
Washing, hanging or drying, folding, putting away and changing the bed can be part of a visit. It uses time from the booking rather than sitting outside it, so it is better planned in from the start.
An NDIS plan does not automatically include cleaning. Where it is funded, assistance with household tasks has been approved as a support connected to that participant’s disability, based on their goals, their assessed needs and the supports already in the plan.
We are a Registered NDIS Provider, registration number 4053371406. We do not decide funding and we will not tell you your plan covers something. Your plan manager, support coordinator or NDIA contact is the right person to confirm it with.
Where others live in the home, funded cleaning relates to the participant’s own disability-related support needs rather than the household’s general housework. We set the rooms and tasks out in the quote.
Self-managed participants arrange it with us directly and we invoice you. Plan-managed participants give us their plan manager’s details and the invoice goes there. NDIA-managed participants need a registered provider, which we are, so the claim runs through the agency.
We confirm the address, the door, the access and the arrival window before anything else, then go through the rooms, the priorities and anything that should not be touched. You get a written quote before any work starts, and availability for your address is confirmed at that point rather than promised in advance.
We also clean in Shenton Park, Daglish, Jolimont, Mount Claremont, Dalkeith, Swanbourne, Crawley, Floreat, City Beach, Wembley, West Leederville, Leederville, Churchlands, Wembley Downs, Herdsman, Glendalough, Osborne Park and Woodlands.

We confirm availability for your specific address when we quote, rather than promising it beforehand. Being small is not by itself a reason we would decline.
Tell us and we will allow for it. It is not a missed visit and it will not be treated as one.
Yes, where that arrangement is agreed in writing first. We will not let ourselves in on a verbal understanding.
Yes. Give us the name and number at the quote and we will use it in that order.
Call 1300 525 336 or email info@smurfettescleaningservice.net, give us the address exactly as it appears on your mail along with how to get in, and a Karrakatta visit will start on time instead of starting with a phone call.
