Need help with household cleaning in Sydney? Tell Smurfettes which rooms and tasks you would like assistance with, how often help is needed and the exact service address. We can discuss your priorities and check whether the requested work and timing can be arranged before preparing a written quote.
Cleaning help for the rooms that matter most
Tasks to discuss include wiping reachable kitchen benches, cleaning a basin or toilet, vacuuming nominated floors, mopping suitable hard surfaces, dusting accessible shelves and emptying household bins. Let us know about surfaces that need particular care and any product sensitivities relevant to the cleaning.
Choose your highest-priority rooms first. The quote should state the agreed tasks, exclusions, price and visit length so you can see what is included before you accept it.
Your home, belongings and preferences
Tell us which rooms you want cleaned and which cupboards, belongings or surfaces should be left alone. Please identify private rooms that need separate permission to enter.
In a shared home, distinguish the participant’s rooms from other residents’ rooms and any shared areas you want included. Work solely for a housemate should not be added to the participant’s request by default. Confirm who can approve cleaning in shared spaces and any later changes.
One visit or regular cleaning
Let us know whether you are asking about one visit or recurring help. For regular cleaning, tell us which tasks matter every visit and which you would like less often. For example, bathroom and floor cleaning may be priorities each time, with occasional detail tasks discussed separately.
If time is limited, choose the first and second priorities and then the less urgent work. You can ask about bringing an unfinished task forward next time, subject to the agreed time and task list. Changes to the work or frequency should be confirmed before the affected visit.
Access and communication
Include practical details for the Sydney address: parking, a gate or intercom, stairs or a lift, key arrangements, pets, mobility equipment and any rooms that should stay closed. Tell us who will provide access and who can answer questions or approve changes. A person who opens the door is not automatically authorised to change the cleaning arrangement.
Let us know your preferred contact method and any communication adjustments that help you make decisions. If you would like a short update after the visit, nominate the person who may receive it. Share only the personal information needed for cleaning, access, communication and invoicing.
Apartments and property responsibilities
For an apartment or managed property, distinguish the inside of the home from shared building or strata areas. Household assistance does not transfer a landlord’s, property manager’s, owners corporation’s, strata body’s or building manager’s responsibility for repairs, maintenance or common-property cleaning into the participant’s request.
Clinical cleaning, hazardous-material handling, pest treatment, restoration, repair work, restricted-height work and other specialist services need separate assessment and are not ordinary household tasks. Cleaning linked to vacating a tenancy or completing a bond handover requires its own private-pay quote; it should not be folded into a recurring NDIS cleaning brief.
Check NDIS funding and payment details
Household cleaning may be considered only when it responds to disability-related needs and sits within supports approved in the participant’s NDIS plan. A quote, Sydney address or participant status does not by itself establish that funding applies. Before approval, whoever handles the participant’s funding should compare the room-and-task scope with the plan.
Under self-management, enter the billing recipient selected for the arrangement. If a plan manager handles payment, record that organisation and its invoice instructions. When funding is NDIA-managed, check the billing and booking conditions that apply before accepting the arrangement. The management pathway routes an invoice; it cannot make an excluded or unapproved task fundable.
Changes to your cleaning arrangement
If the rooms, frequency, amount of work or access arrangements change, ask for the revised tasks and price in writing. The participant or a person authorised to make that decision, such as a nominee, should accept the change before the work proceeds.
Keep the accepted quote and check invoices against the agreed service date, household tasks and billing details. Ask for an explanation or correction if anything is unclear.
Request a household-cleaning quote in Sydney
Call 1300 525 336 to discuss the cleaning you need, or use the online enquiry form. Include the exact Sydney street address, priority rooms and tasks, preferred timing or frequency, access notes and an authorised contact. Review the written quote and ask about anything unclear before accepting. Availability and the booking still need to be confirmed.
The New South Wales NDIS Cleaning Directory provides broader navigation to cleaning-related pages for the state. Its listings do not confirm that a service can be arranged at a particular address.
