Mirrabooka is one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse suburbs in Perth, and that changes practical things about a cleaning visit: how we explain the service, who we talk to, and what we do not assume about how a home is run.
Plenty of households here speak something other than English at home, and a cleaning quote is exactly the kind of thing that gets agreed too quickly because nobody wanted to slow the conversation down. We would rather slow it down.
You are welcome to have a family member, a support worker, a support coordinator or an interpreter on the phone with you. We will not rush the call, we will keep the wording plain, and we will put the price, the rooms and the timing in writing so it can be read properly afterwards rather than remembered from a conversation.
If something in a quote does not make sense, ask us again. Nobody has ever annoyed us by asking twice.
Homes are run differently, and a cleaner who assumes otherwise causes offence without meaning to. So we ask rather than guess.
None of that is unusual to us, and none of it costs extra. It just needs saying once so it is done right every visit.
A household that cooks from scratch every day puts far more oil into the air than one that reheats. Frying, grilling, slow cooking and spice pastes leave a film on the rangehood, the tiles behind the cooktop, the wall above it and the tops of the cupboards, and that film does not come off with a quick wipe.
If yours is a cooking house, tell us and we will treat the kitchen as the main job rather than one stop on a circuit. It usually needs proper attention in the first visit or two, then holds much better once it is back under control.
Fortnightly is the most common arrangement and suits most households. Weekly makes sense where fatigue, pain or limited mobility mean the work does not get done in between, or where a busy kitchen needs staying on top of. Monthly is enough if you manage day to day and only need the heavy jobs done, and some participants book us occasionally with no fixed pattern at all.
Start with whatever seems right and change it. A schedule that is not working is a schedule to adjust, not to put up with.
A deep clean is a longer visit covering the things a routine clean does not reach every time: inside the oven, the rangehood filter, behind and under what can be moved safely, skirtings, door frames and window tracks. It is a sensible starting point before regular visits begin.
One-off cleans suit a household getting ready for visitors, recovering after illness or coming home from hospital. Vacate cleans are for the end of a tenancy, and they are worth booking properly because an outgoing inspection is not a forgiving audience.
Washing, hanging or drying, folding, putting away and changing the bed can all be part of a visit. It is real work that uses real time, so if laundry is a priority for you it should be planned into the hours rather than squeezed in at the end.
An NDIS plan does not automatically include cleaning. When it does, it is because help with household tasks was accepted as a support connected to the participant’s disability, decided from their goals, their assessed needs and the supports already approved. It is worked out person by person, so what a neighbour or a relative receives is not a guide to what you will.
We are a Registered NDIS Provider, registration number 4053371406. We cannot approve funding and we will never tell you your plan covers something. Your plan manager, support coordinator or NDIA contact is the right person to ask, and asking first is a great deal easier than unwinding it afterwards.
Where several people live in the home, funded cleaning is for the participant’s own disability-related support needs. It is not a cleaning service for the whole household and it does not cover other people’s share of the housework. We set out the rooms and the tasks in writing so there is no confusion about what is included.
Self-managed participants arrange the service with us directly and we invoice you. Plan-managed participants give us their plan manager’s contact details and the invoice goes there instead. NDIA-managed participants need a registered provider, which we are, so the claim runs through the agency.
Family members, nominees, support coordinators and plan managers organise cleaning on someone’s behalf all the time, and in Mirrabooka that is often an adult child or a sibling handling the phone calls. That works fine. The person doing the arranging can be our contact for scheduling and invoices while the participant still decides what happens inside their own home. Those are two different roles and we keep them separate.
We start with a conversation, at the house or over the phone, in whatever way suits you. We work out which rooms are in, how the home is run, how we get in, who will be there, and anything that must not be touched. You get a written quote before anyone starts and a day and time that fits around the rest of your week.
Mirrabooka sits where the City of Stirling meets Wanneroo, so we cover a wide spread around it. We also clean in Balga, Nollamara, Westminster, Dianella, Yokine, Tuart Hill, Hamersley, Balcatta, Osborne Park, Girrawheen, Koondoola, Marangaroo, Alexander Heights, Noranda, Morley, Malaga, Beechboro and Lockridge.

Yes. A family member, support worker, coordinator or interpreter is welcome on any call. Just tell us who they are and what they are allowed to decide.
Yes. Tell us once and it becomes part of the job. It is not a special request and it does not change the price.
Always. Nothing starts on a verbal agreement, and you should have time to read it or have someone read it with you.
As part of a deep clean, yes, or we can put it on a rotation so it comes around every few visits instead of never.
Call 1300 525 336 or email info@smurfettescleaningservice.net, and if it is easier to have a family member, a support worker or an interpreter on the call with you, that is completely fine. You get the Mirrabooka quote in writing either way.
